Hi, I’m Stacey and I’d like to welcome you to my blog.
Since you’ve arrived at this page, I’m sure you’re interested in what my blog is about and what it can do for you.
Well, I’m hoping my blog will help you with life’s little struggles such as keeping you and your family happy, healthy and safe.
This blog is devoted to the prevention of food-borne illness aka food poisoning, kitchen safety, cleaning & disinfection tips and ways to keep your family healthy by preventing germs.
Although I don’t have Mysophobia (that’s the fancy-schmancy term for germophobia), there are a lot of things in life I’d like to avoid like the plaque to keep myself and my family safe and healthy. I will be touching on some things, you may not realize can make you sick, or that are just plain gross.
Someone once asked me why I decided to write about food and kitchen safety seeing how I’m not a scientist or licensed medical professional. Well, to be perfectly frank with you, if you eat food and know how to clean properly, you really don’t need a Ph.D. or medical degree to talk about how to keep yourself and your family safe and healthy.
That’s like someone writing a blog about their pets and they’re not a Vet.
I research all of my articles through well documented and highly esteemed governmental agencies like the FDA, the CDC, and FoodSafetyGov. Heck, in fact, I have FoodSafetyGov on speed dial on my phone.
Although I’m pretty educated sometimes the articles I read from scientific websites leave me feeling like I’m 6 years old and was raised by a troop of monkeys out in the jungle. You know; not a clue as to what they’re saying.
Most of us don’t understand all that scientific mumbo-jumbo.
With my blog, I hope to break down the barrier and put the content I’ve researched into a more palatable and understandable format for you. After all, we’re friends now and we have to stick together, right?
I got into being a food safety advocate many years ago when I inadvertently gave my boys a major case of food poisoning when they were younger.
I’m not proud of it, but, it did teach me a lot and I’m hoping my mishap in life can save you and your family a lot of pain.
Regardless if you stay for a while or never come back, I’m totally grateful you did stop by even if it was for a minute or two.
Thanks again for stopping by. If you ever want to drop me a line, you can always reach out to me at email@example.com.
Until we meet again,
